Privacy notice

Ohk Energy Ltd (“Ohk Energy”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for this website (aiokonnect.com). This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you book a free assessment, we collect your name, email address, phone number, Eircode, and preferred contact time. We also record the page you submitted from and any campaign parameters present in the URL (UTM tags, Google Click ID, Facebook Click ID) so we can understand which marketing activity led you to enquire. We do not ask for, and do not want, any special-category personal data (health, ethnicity, religion, etc.).

Why we use it and our legal basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and arrange your assessment. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To follow up about products and services you have asked us about. Legal basis: our legitimate interestin supporting the enquiry you have just made (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time — see “Your rights” below.
  • To measure how our marketing campaigns are performing using the campaign parameters above. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given through the cookie banner, or our legitimate interest where you have engaged with a specific campaign.
  • To protect this form from automated abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and securing our service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers (“data processors”) to run the site and manage enquiries. They process your data only on our instructions and under written contracts that meet GDPR Art. 28 requirements:

  • Salesforce — our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where your enquiry record is stored.
  • Vercel — our website hosting and product analytics provider.
  • Cloudflare— provides the “Turnstile” bot-protection challenge that runs when you submit the form.
  • Cookiebot (Cybot A/S) — runs the cookie consent banner and stores your consent choice so we can demonstrate compliance.

Where you have given us permission to contact you about your enquiry, we may also share your details with one of our installation partners so they can carry out a site survey or quote. We do not share your data with anyone else, except where we are required to by law.

International transfers

Some of the providers above are based in, or process data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the European Economic Area, we rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or, where that is not available, on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, together with appropriate supplementary measures. A copy of the safeguards in place can be requested from privacy@ohkenergy.com.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry data in our CRM for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry and any subsequent contractual relationship, and for a further 24 monthsafter our last contact with you so that we can demonstrate consent and respond to follow-up questions. After that period the record is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to erase your data sooner — see “Your rights”.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased (the “right to be forgotten”);
  • restrict or object to our processing of your data, including for direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw any consent you have given us, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@ohkenergy.com. We will respond within one month, as required by Art. 12(3) GDPR.
